When does all-region...or state come out?

And by the way, if the local media in Richmond was doing an article on a player who wasn't there, that would have been a bit off, don't you think? If Ervinton had some how caugh lightning in a bottle, went to Richmond, I'm fairly sure they would have been doing an article about one of their players and not Anderson

He was the focus of an article in the BHC. Wow shocked that they covered the State playoffs and wrote an article. I'm sure he did fine and probably got plenty of comments, but again, who else was they supposed to write about when the reporter is there covering it, Dustin Fleming from Pound, Sproles from Wise, etc etc etc

Yes, he's a dynamite player, but that would be like you working for the Coalfield, going to watch the BDD district finals and not writing about them or one of their players. Anderson is a heck of an athlete. If they had wrote almost the exact article and had Hackney in place of Anderson, nobody would have been shocked either.

I believe I noticed in yesterday, or today's KTN that the regional meeting for coaches will be tomorrow night. Hopefully we will know by Thursday then.

Yes, I understand the logic that the media is going to write about the teams and the players who are competing in the tournament, be it Gate City, or by your example, Ervinton or whomever. I don't think it was coincidental that they focused on Tihlee when reporting on the most important basketball game of the year.

Now, as you pointed out, Gate City has a balanced team. The Bristol Herald Courier could have selected any player on that team - Hackney, Salyers, Parks, etc - for their article. They wrote about Tihlee Anderson. Why? Maybe just maybe because they thought he stood out from the rest of the team.

I just saw the All-District team and I believe they picked the team too early if they picked it during the tournament. Gate City should have put 3-4 players on that team, easy. It looked like the criteria was no more than two players from a school can be on here.
Good kid, DECENT ball player for his age but Adkins Player of the Year? How do you justify picking a POY that was on a losing team? Someone give me an intelligent response why he was player of the year and do not say because he scored a lot of points. Not saying he did but ANYONE can score if they shoot enough.
